چکیده
In this study, the adsorption of a multicomponent mixture active pharmaceutical compounds, such as Venlafaxine (VLX), Trazodone (TRZ) and Fluoxetine (FLX), was studied in biochar fixed-bed column. The selection appropriate (eucalyptus, grapevine cane holm tree biochar) an adsorbent carried out through batch assays. An insight into mechanism its correlation with chosen biochars performed, showing that electron donor/acceptor interaction is main involved. Equilibrium kinetic experiments were performed results demonstrated eucalyptus most viable option for removal pollutants, individually combined. Column Thomas, Yoon-Nelson Yan models adjusted to breakthrough curves. This system exhibited synergetic behavior TRZ antagonist VLX FLX, when compared single systems previously evaluated treatment real wastewaters, spiked has efficiency mixtures. Finally, regeneration by elution different solutions also investigated methanol proved be effective eluent column regeneration.

Enhanced selective metal adsorption on optimised agroforestry waste mixtures.
The aim of this work is to ascertain the potentials of different agroforestry wastes to be used as biosorbents in the removal of a mixture of heavy metals. Fern (FE), rice husk (RI) and oak leaves (OA) presented the best removal percentages for Cu(II) and Ni(II), Mn(II) and Zn(II) and Cr(VI), respectively. The performance of a mixture of these three biosorbents was evaluated, and an improvement...
متن کاملUphill diffusion in multicomponent mixtures.
Molecular diffusion is an omnipresent phenomena that is important in a wide variety of contexts in chemical, physical, and biological processes. In the majority of cases, the diffusion process can be adequately described by Fick's law that postulates a linear relationship between the flux of any species and its own concentration gradient. Most commonly, a component diffuses down the concentrati...
متن کاملOn Multicomponent Fluid Mixtures
We consider the flow of the mixture of viscous, heat-conducting, compressible fluids consisting of n different components, each of which has its own density, pressure, and molecular weight but all components having the same velocity and temperature. The mathematical model presented here relies on fundamental principles of continuum mechanics and combustion, where the balance laws, the constitut...
متن کاملSpectrophotometric Multicomponent Analysis of Ternary and Quaternary Drug Mixtures in Human Urine Samples by Analyzing First-order Data
A new method was developed for the spectral resolution by further determination of three- and four-component mixtures of drugs in urine samples through the complementary application of multivariate curve resolution-alternating least squares with correlation constraint. In the current study, a simple method was proposed to construct a calibration set for the mixture of drugs in the p...
متن کاملMulticomponent transport in weakly ionized mixtures
We discuss transport coefficients in weakly ionized mixtures. We investigate the situations of weak and strong magnetic fields as well as electron temperature nonequilibrium. We present in each regime the Boltzmann equations, examples of transport fluxes, the structure of transport linear systems and discuss their solution by efficient iterative techniques. Numerical simulations are presented f...
